The area around City Hall Square, Tivoli, Axeltorv and the Central Station is in need of innovation. Consequently, we have asked a series of Danish and international architects and city experts to enter into the assigment and rethink the heart of Copenhagen. With two debate events and an exhibition we invite the Copenhageners to contribute. We think big. What do you think?

Today, the main attractions of the Metropol Zone are sorrounded by intense traffic. We wish to create a city area characterised by adventures and quality.
A worthy city mark
The Metropol Zone is the first impression visitors get of Copenhagen. In future, the Metropol Zone is to represent the 21 Century's Copenhagen.
International Copenhager atmosphere
Developing the Metropol Zone will place Copenhagen among the most attractive European big cities. We do not wish to be copycats - we need to find our own big city feet.
