The Idea Assignment
5 interdisciplinary teams are working on their idea assignment for the Metropol Zone. The five teams comprise both Danish and international architects and city experts. Deadline is 24 May and the projects will be placed on view to the public. Finally, the City of Copenhagen will choose the entries that are to continue.
The five teams
1. Effekt, Kontrapunkt, Via Trafik and a creative advisory board comprising Simon Prahm from GAM3, Kristian Leth from DR and David Lange from Neon.
2. COBE, MVRDV, Grontmij l Carlbro, Academy of fine Arts (Jens Kvorning), Institut for Fremtidsforskning (Anders Bjerre), ReTeam, Photographer (Kim Wendt) and Teater TurnAround (Philip Antonakakis).
3. DSB Arkitekter, Elkiær & Ebbeskov, Tesbedstudio, Noema Research and Planning and creative guest participants including art historian Claus Olsen, cideo designer Signe Krogh, artist Claus Carstensen and audio designer Jesper Kongshaug.
4. Schmidt Hammer Lassen, Red Associates, Bosch & Fjord, Moe & Brødsgaard, Buro Happold and a creative advisory board blog Stephensen, Pernille Stensgaard, Jokum Rohde, Christian Wichmann Matthiessen, Astrid Krogh, Thomas Martinsen.
5. Schul Landskabsarkitekter, Okra (Dutch urban planner), Fynske Kunstakademi (principal Sanna Kofoed Olsen), Steve Tomlinson, Transport for London, light designer Åsa Frankenberg, scientist and video artist Ulrik Smidt from University of Copenhagen, urban designer Bill Erickson, University of Westminister.
