How to appeal
If you think that a parking ticket has been unjustly issued, you can appeal in writing to the Parking Department.
Objection to penalty charge notice
A decision about issuing a parking ticket cannot be brought before higher administrative authorities and is not covered by the Administration Act cl. 19, cf. the Danish Road Traffic Act cl. 121, subsection 2.
If your complaint is not accepted by the Parking Department and if you fail to pay the parking ticket, the case will be handed over to the local police. At your request, the case can be taken to the Enforcement Court.
Any costs generated by the Enforcement Court proceedings must be covered by you, unless the enforcement court fully upholds your claim.
You can also approach the Ombudsman and request that they evaluate the Parking Department’s decision.
